    hey sorry about this, im releasing the fix as an update. this is not something lay theme users should fix themselves by adding custom css.

  • Issue with mobile layout

    please dont email your bug to me and post it on the forum.
    usually i dont do email support.

    we talked about this via email and I said:

    "Hey Alistair

    This is because of some changes made in the way lay theme shows the custom phone layout.
    For this to work properly you need to disable custom phone layout.
    Now if there is a custom phone layout the markup will exist with the desktop phone layout side-by-side.
    It seems that the same shopify button cannot exist twice on a page. so then it doesn't work properly.

    You can either disable the feature "custom phone layout" in "lay options"

    or you can use the old lay theme version and old versions of plugins
    if you choose to do that, let me know which lay theme plugins you use"

    Thank you for getting back, apologies for a four day delay.

    Regarding possible Plugin issue:

    Have you tried de-activating any Third-party plugins to see if this isolates the issue?

    Along with this, do you have any Custom CSS, HTML or JS Code added in "Lay Options" that may be causing interference - Removing it temporarily to see if this isolates the problem.

    Additionally are both Lay Theme and the Lay Theme "Addons" updated so that they are in sync with one another?

    This is a good first step when debugging, However if problems persist and you do feel it is indeed a Lay Theme bug and not any of the above,

    Could you please send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?
    So that we can take a closer look and help you :)

    I wanted to follow up and apologise for not providing a solution much much sooner, this is my fault, forgive me.

    The Lightbox skipping bug has been on a few threads since this and if i am not mistaken has been corrected in the update.

    I wanted to follow up and Apologise if my suggestion didn't help you find a solution.

    If de-activating any third-party-plugins and temporarily removing any Custom CSS,HTML, & JS additions does not isolate the problem

    Then please can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?
    And we will take a deeper look.

    "The website does not show correctly on the frontend? Please clear your cache of your cache plugin, disable all plugins and remove all custom CSS and JS and see if the problem persists. If your host does caching also clear your WordPress website's cache."

    Then:

    Please provide your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com

    hey man

    in the text above it says

    Some plugin you had activated caused some errors…
    I disabled all of your plugins and now it works. Please read the text and follow the instructions cause often times that solves many issues, and then u don't need to wait for us to try and fix things

Before you post:
  1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
  2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
  3. Disable all Plugins
  4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

When you post:
  1. Post a link to where the problem is
  2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
  3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
