the intro image is sized and positioned based on the aspect ratio of the image and browser

better use a svg or text intro overlay and then try to position it using custom css!

customize → intro → text or svg overlay

My host is on it but apperently there is no way in GD2 to keep the Profile and Metadata. Which is very disapointing.

I also found that the engine is goind a really bad job. For example my images in 2200px wide have about 500kb each. Than GD comes in place and renders versions 2048px - 1,4 MB, 1920px - 1,3 MB
(Jpeg setting is at 71% in Laytheme backend and i rerendered all images using "Regenerate Thumbnails" plugin - twice)
So a very unimpressing result. - at the moment i tell laythem to never use resized versions but i would rather use them to fget better page speeds - but i guess the ICC profile / exif issue needs to be resolved first.

I think the files are fairly good compressed and i stripped all the medadata not needed besides copyright and icc.

I see your point that people can always steal the images if they want, im totaly aware of thet, however i would like to at least hacve the copyright preserved if possible and if someone strips it they know for sure that its illigal to use it.
I have some reverse image search in place with legal partners attached anyhow, but i woulöd rather keep the Metadate if possible. I have the feeling its good for SEO as well.

ok go to lay options → enable "Add "Tablet" settings to Textformats"
then in your textformats, set a good size for tablet for the textformat you use for your menu.
make sure to choose that textformat as the format that is used for the menu in "appearance" → "customize"

youd need to write javascript that checks to see if you're moving your mouse on the left or right side in a carousel and then set html classes depending on that and of course those html classes have corresponding css to set the right cursor

Well there is only this option that limits an image's dimensions, but it only works if there is just one image per row
(in lay options → fullscreen slider)

you could also use white text on the slides where you fear the text won't be readable

Oh how great! I am trying to change my sitetitle image on mouseover for like days now and couldn´t manage, always getting a grey line box in safari although in firefox it´s working. When do you plan to release this update? I am looking forward to it!
