@arminunruh no problem at all! I'm more than happy to help answer some basic questions. I use LayTheme for my work very often so I like being able to support it :)

    yea,
i think you could just work on the code in a code editor and then always copy paste it into the fields

you could also change lay theme php files to include your own css files

maybe theres a plugin for this
    not sure!
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/add+style+files/

every time u update lay theme, lay themes files are overwritten though

@camc said in News section tag/categories:

Would it be possible to do it with "project thumbnails"? I know that you can show the tags but I don't know if you can configure them this way.

    nope

but maybe add an image, link the image to a news page and add text underneath the image that includes ur tags mmh

And for the news section: it would be great to also have a "Title space bottom" insert to choose the space between the title and the date.

    ok writing this down

hey man rlly sorry i got too many things to do to custom code this for you

i do believe you need to use the newpageshown event
and in there see which page you're on using the body's slug class for example and then check the scrollposition and set the background

maybe you use a percentage based font size for your textformat for mobile! that could be the issue.
try using a bigger value or use a px based fontsize for your formatScreenshot 2023-01-24 at 13.03.02.png

@arminunruh thanks for your response. ok, i’ll use the font-family dropdown to make a word bold. a character textformat doesn't really help, because there the font-size is fixed (and it takes more clicks than choosing the correct font-family).

    cheers

but the question is, why are they working this way now and go below when I update the page with a new element?

im not sure i understand this sentence

well elements to the right will always overlap elements to the left

you can always right click an element, "set html class and id"
    then as "html class" add:

    overlapp

then in lay options → custom css & html:

    .overlap{ z-index: 10!important; }

    nice website!

i should have answered by now

unless ur email landed in my spam

Before you post:
  1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
  2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
  3. Disable all Plugins
  4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

When you post:
  1. Post a link to where the problem is
  2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
  3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
