yea you can replace the mobile menu with an overlay with the burger button setting enabled.

then you could hide the burger button for desktop and show the normal menu for desktop using css media queries

    if u like

Do you know of any potential issues I might run into,

    mmh no

Yes, so it makes a smooooth transition. I think it would be a super nice feature as you can provide a more bespoke experience for a project. Maybe you have a video, so it transitions to black to have this dark universe.

    Yes(!)

to "lazyloading of images enabled" — Check: already enabled but mindful of lag-time for those with weaker connections, mobile/roaming etc + it hurts to know each thumb is nearly double the size it needs to be just because i'd like to use the Search function. Just sayin' ;) to "writing it down" — Please do(!) + consider it would offer possibilities to people who would prefer a search-driven site but currently not adopting that design route due to limitations with the feature

    Much appreciated.

where do you use your buttons?
can you post a link here so i can see an example of the situation

submenu points have an active state already:

its the same one that is set in:
Customize → Menu Style → Menu Point Active

you might want to do this only for the images that span the whole width of your website, the other images might be big enough already

    @arminunruh Ok trank you! I'll try ;)

Before you post:
  1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
  2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
  3. Disable all Plugins
  4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

When you post:
  1. Post a link to where the problem is
  2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
  3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
