    if you use your old files and not not update anything. Then it might still work.
    Try a new install of Laytheme with your old files.

    you can add this to your CUSTOM CSS

    .lightbox-image-holder img { height: initial !important; width: initial !important; }

    with LayTheme it is not possible to install your own sliders.

    If you want to use many third-party plugins – we recommend LayGridder.

    not really.
    The overlay is done with a filter and not with a background color and opacity change.

    Maybe you can find a solution with CUSTOM CSS yourself.

    Also difficult with CUSTOM CSS because the jQuery calculates the position of the image again.

    not really.

    With CSS it wont really work.
    With jQuery you could exchange the order of the image-box and the captions.
    Then the captions are above.

    But you will need some medium jQuery knowledge for that.

    not really easily possible.

    The image slider calculates the position and the size. So just using CUSTOM CSS with !important, will just mess up the slideshow.

    it is not malware.

Before you post:
  1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
  2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
  3. Disable all Plugins
  4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

When you post:
  1. Post a link to where the problem is
  2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
  3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
