Home menu item -> Back to Homepage
-
Hi,
when I’m viewing a project located on my Homepage, clicking on the menu item "Home" (which is active) doesn’t get me back to the Homepage. It seems the only time the "Home" item works is when I’m viewing another page it’s not clickable inside of projects and on the Homepage itself.
I have no Site Title displayed anywhere so the only link that gets me back to the Homepage would be "Home" in my menu.
This is how "Home" currently looks:
So I guess my question is: how can I add a "Home" menu item that works like the Site Title.
thanks for your help

Hey Thomas! Ok, I can't see anything wrong with how you set up your home-link, normally this should work. Can you send me a link to ur site so I can test it myself?
www.thomasneulinger.com doesn't seem to work right now.

I think I found way to get it to work.
I added a new page, named in "Home" and added it as a Front Page in the Customizer. I had the standard Category Front Page before. The Home link didn’t work there.
Now with a page as a Front Page the Home link works.
For now I reset it to the not working standard Category Front Page so you can check it out. I emailed you the login (hope that’s ok)
cheers

Hey TeddyG, yeah I'm gonna update lay theme today or tmrw to fix that. just a lil update with bugfixes like that :D

Ok, there's an update out now that fixes this issue. :D

It works great now!
One thing I realized though was that when you first visit the site only the Page Title is displayed in the Tab bar. But after clicking the Home link in the menu it displays "Page Title – Home". It basically adds whatever you have entered in the menu settings for your home link to the Page Title. Of course I want that to happen for projects and other pages but not on the Home page.
That doesn’t happen when using the Site Title as a back to home link.
Just a minor detail of course but I thought I’d mention it. Don’t know if there is way to prevent wordpress from doing that.
