RSS Feed
-
Hello!
I just realized that RSS-feeds don’t seem to work with lay theme. I guess it has to do with the architecture of the theme (how and where the posts get to be saved etc.).
Will there be a feature for that in the future? I use feeds on a daily basis and would love to have working RSS.A simple Version with an extra Field per project / page below the gridder would be more than sufficient. Just copy-paste an excerpt and a few images, et voila!

Dear @edgrbnz
we will have a look if this is possible to be implemented in a short time.Thank you for the tip!

Hello @edgrbnz!
I just saw that you managed to set up a working rss-feed on your website. At least my feed reader works with your site.
I fail and would be happy if you share your knowledge. so how did you proceed, which plugin did you use?
Best!

Sorry no… 🤷♀️
I didn’t do anything about the rss.To keep things snappy and straightforward I’m using as little plugins as possible. There’s just Wordfence, BackWPup, SVG Support (not sure if I need it, though) and the LayTheme Lightbox (which I don’t even use rn) running on my site.
Nothing RSS related…

Dear @neunzehnachtneun
I did not even know that people still use RSS :-D
But every page has a default RSS when you enter /rss.There might be plugins :-)
Best!

Need custom programming for your Lay Theme site?
I regularly add new features to Lay Theme for free, based on user feedback. But if you or your client need something more specific, I’m happy to offer custom paid programming tailored to your project.
Email info@laytheme.com with the subject "Custom paid programming for Lay Theme" and a short description of what you need — I’ll reply with a cost estimate.
Custom features I build often make it into future Lay Theme updates, so your idea might benefit the whole community.
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
