    Hey Armin,

    are there known issues about writing html within the text/html-editor?
    I try to insert something like:

    <ul>
    <li><span class="icon-mobile">xxx</span></li>
    <li><a class="icon-mail" href="zzz">yyy</a></li>
    </ul>

    And get the following after closing and opening the popup again:

    <ul><li><span class="icon-mobile">xxx</span></li><li><a class="icon-mail">yyy</a></li></ul>

    I don't know what to do.

    Best,
    Clemens

    Hey Clemens, looks good to me, only the href is missing. Maybe the texteditor strips away the href because "zzz" might not be a valid value? Not sure.

    Hey Armin, if i give the regular href="mailto:..." expression, everything works fine. But when I use href="javascript:linkTo_UnCryptMailto('...');" (https://jumk.de/nospam/) it got striped away. Do you know a way to fix that?

    Hey Armin, ok: I want to write a mailto-link within a text area. There is no problem when I type something like mailto:mail@mywebsite.tld in the hyperlink popup or as href in the source code editor. The problem occurs, when i try to replace my working mailto-link with the bit, the tool https://jumk.de/nospam/ gives me for some spam protection: javascript:linkTo_UnCryptMailto('nbjmup;nbjmAlmbttf4i/ef');. Then the href get stripped away. Why it is not allowed to use something like that?

    Hey, I think the texteditor kind of strips that away. Not sure why it does that. Maybe I will introduce a "add html" that can do this.

Need custom programming for your Lay Theme site?

I regularly add new features to Lay Theme for free, based on user feedback. But if you or your client need something more specific, I’m happy to offer custom paid programming tailored to your project.

Email info@laytheme.com with the subject "Custom paid programming for Lay Theme" and a short description of what you need — I’ll reply with a cost estimate.

Custom features I build often make it into future Lay Theme updates, so your idea might benefit the whole community.

Before you post:
  1. When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
  2. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
  3. Disable all Plugins
  4. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"

This often solves issues you might run into

When you post:
  1. Post a link to where the problem is
  2. Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
  3. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
