Click on photo to open carousel
-
I am a photographer. My Website (https://www.nilsboeddingmeier.com/herbsten/) contains of one category with bigger thumbnails as an overview, you can than click on a thumbnail to get into a project where all the photos are layouted as thumbnails to give a quick overview over the whole project. I would like to know if it's possible to click on the photos in the projects which than opens the carousel to see the exact photo bigger. With the 'no transition' carousel you can than navigate left and right between the photos within the project. I hope I explain it understandable. Here is an example of what I mean http://noemiegoudal.com/category/works/
The important thing is, that I don't want the project to be just the carousel with the photos but I want to be able to have an overview over the photos in the project in the thumbnail view and change between that and the carousel view whenever needed with easy navigation. -
Hi @nils_b
is this the black forest?:-)
It is not possible to have a separate view with thumbnails.
You could achieve this by either adding another project with a different view of the images.
The Element-Grid could help to make this easily.Or to program it in jQuery.
But I do not know how much you are skilled with Javascript.
Best!

Hi @mariusjopen,
thanks for the answer! Yes, indeed it is the black forest ;-) Do you know the area?
I'm not skilled in Javascript at all...anyway, I managed it by creating for every photo in the thumbnail-project-view a different page where the caroussel starts with the photo you just clicked on.
However, it would be very useful if in upcoming versions of the addon, this could be implented.
I have another relating question towards the thumbnail view. Is it possible to place overlapping images between two rows? Like in the example I send you! I think the example website is also made with laytheme.

Dear @nils_b
yes. I grew up in that region :-D
I agree. I wrote it down for future updates. You can right-click on an image and offset it to overlap other elements.
Best!
