Slow Carrousel loading
-
Hi,
When i go to my site (www.nevenswork.com) the top carrousel takes a really long time to load. If i start scrolling, some of the projects stacked underneath load faster than the one on top. Is there a way to force the first image of the top carrousel to be loaded first?
I would welcome any other tips for generally improving loading times on my website.
Thanks!

Can you activate "Lazyload images" in Lay Options -> Carousel Addon?
Let me know if that did the trick. In general your website will load faster once i finished working on an upcoming update. I'm re-developing lay theme's whole frontend right now.

Armin, does including a starter page help load things faster in the background?
Something like on your (arminunruh.com) website for example? -
Ok neven, I will look at this, maybe I did a mistake with the lazyloading of carousel images.
The intro won't make the website load faster but your intro will show up before the content does, while the content loads in the background. So the perceived loading time would be better yea

Hello there!
I am having issues with carousel loading times too.
There is always a delay when loading/viewing the images on a carousel(between 3-10 seconds for each images). I did do a small test between regularly placed image vs the carousel and the difference is day and night. The problem is definitely specific to the carousel.
My site is: montagueroberts.com
Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated :)
Thank you. -
Hi there
Same problem here. Actually, I have the problem with all images on my site, not only in the caroussel (http://rogerconscience.com/). It seems to be like this since the last update. Before, the images always loaded up pretty quick.
Thanks a lot for help!
Best,

Hi Armin!
I hadn't noticed that button before (it was checked by default)
Now that I have unchecked it, the images load as usual, without delay! yay!
Thanks for pointing it out, I imagine thats useful to know for you too, Thanks for looking into this!! -
Dear @MontagueRoberts
