Anchor menu bug
-
Hey Amin, thanks for the amazing theme!
I am having issues with the anchor menu.
I set it up exactly like you explained in your tutorial but although it does scroll correctly on my page text starts disappearing, some sections won't link (my STILLS section) and it sometimes gets stuck.
I deactivated all plugins and it's still not working properly. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Laytheme Carousel I am using for the full screen stills section. Can that be a factor somehow?
I am using Firefox to edit but I have the same issue on Chrome. I cleared caches several times on my browsers and on the Wordpress site using W3 total cache.

Thanks!

Dear @santi
Did you have a look in this post? http://laythemeforum.com:4567/topic/2863/link-to-anchor-from-another-page/4
Best!

Hey Marius, I missed this, I expected an email notification haha. Sorry for not answering.
Yeah, I saw that, but it doesn't apply to my situation or does it?
In my case the homepage is all on the same page, I am not trying to anchor from another page i thhe site (that I will do after fixing this haha).
Most of the sections work when skipping through the menu, but some still occasionally disappear. If you want to test, just click on the site and click through the sections menu and see how the CONTACT section disappears, for example. Basically, you can't see the CONTACT section when there is a # in the url. So only when you go back to home, it appears again.
I also suspect it might have to do with the Carousel slider bug that I also found and am trying to solve - I have the latest version but it crashes my site, so I deactivated it.
Best,
Santi -
I also just found out that it only happens when the URL is the plain, so when it is https://tbe.sneakpeek.media/#contact for example, it disappears, but when it is https://tbe.sneakpeek.media/home#contact it works fine! Anyway to fix this?

@santi I have the same problem and even worse with my website (https://anime-architecture.org).
See this thread: http://laythemeforum.com:4567/topic/5284/scroll-to-anchors-doesn-t-work-after-update/21?_=1588374637653
Everything worked in version 2.x but broke with version 3.x

Hey @ArneRobot thanks for the input! For me it was always an issue, even before the update. Hopefully we can solve it, because it seems we are almost finished with the respective sites.

Dear @santi
Ok, thank you for writing. We will have a look also with Armin and hope to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for using LayTheme!
Marius -
you need to update lay theme, ur website does not work at all, because u updated your addons but not lay theme
you need to enter your license key to be able to update lay theme
that youtube tutorial is kind of outdated, you dont need to add any custom javascript. just use #anchor links and ids
@ArneRobot 's anchorlinks didn't work because there was still a bug with anchorlinks when they're in a custom phone layout and desktop layout, but this is fixed now and some of his custom css created a problem

Hey Armin, I thought I had updated the theme, sorry for that! The website was not working at all because using the Carousel plugin was crashing my homepage. I was working on it with Marius. Now that I updated the theme the homepage is visible again, so the Carousel issue is fixed, but the menu anchor point problem is still there.
Please see for yourself. As soon as you click on any of the anchor points in the menu, the last two parts of the page disappear (STILLS and CONTACT). I suspect the issue could still be with the Carousel plugin which I use for the STILLS section, as everything under it disappears. Thanks!

Dear @santi
Perfect! Glad to hear with the carousel!
We will have another look.
Many wishes!

there is no div with an ID of stills
so when you click on stills nothing happens
and there is a bug i need to fix where the option "Activate on scroll element transitions" does not work well with anchorscroll
