    Hey hope you are very well!

    I am coming to the end of a project for a client, and I am facing a small but important issue I was wondering if you could help?

    This is the link to the site and I use Google Chrome:
    http://martagarciadefaria.com/articles/

    At the moment, my menu has a hover state which should be the same as my 'current' state.
    However, unless I refresh the page, the current state does not show (see screenshot attached. We are on the page 'Articles' however, the menu shows the previously selected page 'Essays')

    Is this related to the way the theme has been built/AJAX related/is there a way I can fix this?
    Thank you so much in advance,

    All the best
    Christian

      Dear @cschm-tz
      have a look here:

      .current-menu-item a {
          color: red !important;
      }

      Best!

        Hey @mariusjopen thanks so much for your time!
        I have tried what you suggest without any luck sadly...I had similarly tried the following:

        li.current_page_item a{
        color:#1800fa !important;
        font-family: ModernMTStd-ExtendedItalic !important;}

        nav.laynav .current-menu-item>a {
        font-weight: 100;
        color: #000000 !important;
        font-family: ModernMTStd-Extended !important;
        }

        The issue still remains: unless I refresh the page it doesn't display correctly where we are on the navigation menu. If I view my site through 'Customize' for some reason this problem doesn't exist, however, everywhere else it does.

        Can you think of anything else that could potentially be happening here?
        Thanks so much for your help, hugely appreciated!

        Best,
        Christian
