Since upgrading the theme and the plug through WP I noticed that the carousel doesn't work in certain browsers.

It loads and works correct in Safari, Edge and Brave.
It doesn't show up in Chrome.

    The site is https://www.koencolpaert.be
    Any ideas?

de-activating and re-activating the plugin did the trick.
      Case closed.

I have noticed that this doesn't always work. In some cases I had to re-install the old plugin version.

There are a lot of issues with carousel for the moment looking at this forum.

            Dear @koencolpaert
do you use the most current version?
I cannot see it because of maintenance mode.
            Best!

Hi Marius, I've put it in maintenance mode because of my tampering with the site.

For the theme I am using 2.7.5 and carousel is on 1.3.9.
The thing is if I use the automatic upgrade function the carousel functionality breaks. Sometimes it helps to re-activate but not always.

Seeing all kind of issues here I guess there is a deeper lying problem of compatibility (theme or plugin). I never had any trouble upgrading what so ever.

@mariusjopen That is kind of the problem Marius. When I upgrade one of the packages the site breaks :-(

For an example of some of the problems I'm facing I removed the maintenance mode. When you go to https://www.koencolpaert.be you'll see that the homepage has an active slideshow. Upgrading the theme or carrousel plugin will break the site.

To test I just purchased the Lightbox plugin. If you click on the "Info" page or on the "Austerity" page you will see different pictures but not a single one is clickable. In other words the Lightbox plugin fails to load as well. (and yes it is active on all pages/posts...)

                    Currently I'm running

                    • wordpress 5.4.2
                    • Lay theme 3.3.0
                    • Carousel 1.3.9
                    • Lightbox 1.5.0

you're using lay theme 2.7.5 or maybe you updated lay theme but didn't clear your cache plugin's cache

                        Screenshot 2020-06-18 at 14.42.54.png

to be able to update lay theme you need to activate it using your key.

you need to update lay theme and all of your addons, and then make sure to disable your caching plugin
or clear your cache in your caching plugin

                        if that doesn't work:

can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?
