Pre Load images in Fullscreen Slider? Eliminate Image Placeholder? Strobe effect
-
Dear @andrewbmcgill
Can you post a link to your website?
We will then have a look and inspect that!
Many wishes!

Dear @andrewbmcgill
I cannot see the strobe error.
Is it on the welcome page?
Best!

Hi @mariusjopen thanks for checking. It seems to be working fine on Chrome but having a bit more trouble on Firefox. Firefox shows the worst strobing effect, but right now it's loading pretty fast. Try clicking through any of the projects on the project page on firefox to see what I mean: https://andrewblakemcgill.com/projects/

Dear @andrewbmcgill
ok. I can see it now…
Do you have any third-party plugins installed or CUSTOM JS code? Is it possible to deactivate it for a moment to see if the problem remains?
Is Wordpress and LayTheme up to date?
Many wishes!
Marius -
@mariusjopen I only have ImageMagick engine and Real Simple SSl plugins installed. I turned on the feature to lazy load images when scrolling to them and now instead of a flash images that haven't loaded fade. Which is more pleasing. But still an issue that images are not loaded in advance and white space shows up in some cases.

hey i just had time to look at this.
can you disable lazyloading images in "lay options" and try again?
-
You can also update fullscreen slider now and then it will preload the next/previous images of your slides if you have image lazyloading active in "lay options"
I just released the update
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
