Hi there, I'm new to lay theme and maybe I just don't understand some of the functions yet ;) I started by adding a few projects and would like to create a "work" page now with an overview of my projects but when i click on "+project thumbnail" it says "No Project Thumbnails available to insert! .. what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

      Dear @paulapetersen
are you sure that you added the project in the project area and not as pages?
Did you give a thumbnail to each project?

Can you post a link to your website?
We will then have a look and inspect that!
      Many wishes!

I had this problem whilst building my site and realised it's because the project pages weren't live yet (visibility was set to private). Maybe this solves it for you?

            1. Actually I have the same problem, but my projects are already set to "public". I still can't add project thumbnails ("No Project Thumbnails available to insert!")

            2. Also to publish the projects is kind of tricky because the "publish" button is disabled. Right now I can only manage to publish my Projects by deleting the word "disabled" with the inspection tool of google chrome (https://www.thefreewindows.com/19921/re-enable-grayed-wordpress-publish-update-button-post/)

Can anyone help ore share experiences? Thanks you! :-)

Ok I solved problem 1. ... this was my fault. I didn't realize that the option "+ Project Thumbnail" on the top is not the way to create thumbnails in the first place (which is to be done on the right side of the page instead).

              Problem 2. stayes unsolved ...

                Dear @Juliane

Do you have any Third-party plugins activated? This seems like a Plugin clash error.

Also are Wordpress Lay Theme & Plugins up to date and in sync?

Talks soon & best wishes šŸŒ

Thanks Richard. Apparently it was a clash error with the WP Maintenance Mode Plugin (the only third-party plugin I had ... now deleted) Thank you!!
