HTML-Option for the Mobile Site Title
-
Hi, I used Armins tip to display my logo as an svg in the Site Title, I've pasted the svg code to 'Site Title HTML' and it's working well. Unfortunately this feature is missing in the mobile view, there's no HTML-option for the Mobile Site Title.
Is it possible to add it?
Or does it also work with Custom CSS? If so (just as a hint), is it done with a short code snippet or is it more complex?
Thanks, Andreas

You could probably leave the mobile title empty or with a nonbreaking space and include the svg via the css background tag

Dear @kappe
you cut put it into the CUSTOM CSS section.
And modify it with CUSTOM CSS mobile. You could also play around with the CUSTOM CSS mobile to un-hide the sitetitle.
Can you post a link?
Best!

I too would love an HTML option for the Mobile Site Title. Mostly because the site title on one of my sites is long, and having an HTML option would allow me to shorten it for Mobile. E.g. a site title like the following:
<div>Short Title<span style="display: none"> — Extension of the Site Title</span></div>
So the site title would display in the extended version in the browser history and in the browser window title, but on the website would only display the short version of the title.
I was happy to see this was made possible for Desktop, but the Mobile still uses the general site title. The only way I have been able to solve this is by adding code to the PHP, which needs to be repeated with every update.

Dear @bro
can you not just create a CUSTOM HTML element and ONLY display it on mobile via mobile CSS?
Best!

Dear @mariusjopen
Yes, that absolutely works. Thanks for the suggestion!
(However, I do not prefer to do it this way: custom HTML elements load differently than other elements on the site (fade ins), which in my opinion looks a little sloppy, especially for a site title – though I fully understand if you do not share the same concern.)
Best regards!

Dear @bro
can you send me an example of how the CUSTOM HTML element loads differently?
I cannot see it.
Best!
