Book Recommendation: Coding

Hello, I started using LayTheme and thought I can manage with some HTML knowledge and patience. Unfortunatly I struggle at simple CSS tasks like defining a fixed row height and many more.
The code seems to work but Im not sure I set the class to the right object. Anyway ā¦Are there any links / tutorials or preferable some hard copy books you can recommend? I'm aware the Internet if full of it but looking for efficient stuff :) I'm through some of them and its to slow or superficial so far.

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options ā Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
