Laytheme no Singlepage Application anymore
-
Hi there Laytheme Team,
I have a jQuery function (logo randomizer) running on my laytheme website that relies on the fact that laytheme works as a single page application.
It seems like laytheme isn’t working as a single page applicaion anymore… this also triggers the intro every time one navigates to the front page which is anything but ideal.
Can anyone help with that or tell me the reason why this behaviour has changed?
Thanks 🙏 in advance!

Hey @Richard-K and @Armin-Unruh could some please check this situation? My site is
just brokennot working properly since the last update…Thank you!

Hey sorry about the delay
Lay Theme‘s frontend is now created by using php, not javascript.
However, it still does not do a hard reload when navigating so it behaves like the version before.Likely you either use a shortcode on your frontpage or your footer. When a page has a shortcode it will cause a hard reload, causing the intro to show up again if you‘re on the frontpage.
Or you might have activated the option „compatibility mode“ in lay options
if neither of these things are the case pls write an email to info@laytheme.com with a link to your website and to this post

Hey @arminunruh
No worries about the delay! And happy new year! ✨
I’m not quite sure what you mean with using a shortcode the frontpage is a simple category page without a footer and my footers either use simple project navigation arrows or some regular gridder text elements.

I checked that one right now… and yes… for some reason this was active… Thank you Armin! I would never have found that issue…

i meant a shortcode element. in the gridder via +more → +shortcode
