All customizations gone after WooCommerce Installation
-
Hey
Yesterday updated the theme and installed the WooCommerce plugin. After going through the WooCommerce setup the website lost all its customizations and is showing projects on the home page where there shouldn’t be any and all other pages also are pretty messed up. I de-installed the WooCommerce but it didn’t help.
Any hints what could have caused this and how to go back to normal without having to setup everything again?
Cheers

Oh I'm sorry about that.
I have no idea why that happened, I haven't seen an issue like that come up before.
Any hints what could have caused this and how to go back to normal without having to setup everything again?
Not sure, best to do a backup every now and then using any backup plugin but of course this shouldn't happen.
can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?

Hi Armin,
The same thing happened to me!
The Menu Customization and Projects customization was gone after setting up the homepage for the WooCommerce. The Homepage of my website appears now empty when I access the Pages section in the Wordpress editor. Also, I have this bug now in this Project page:

Thank you!

Dear Cristina
@Cristina-T
Sorry to hear this, apologies for any inconvenience this latest update has caused.
Moving forwards, please make sure of the following:
Wordpress, Lay Theme & Laytheme's Addons are all up to date.
Any custom CSS or JS that may interfere is temporarily removed.
Any third-party plugins are de-activated to see if this resolves the issue.
If using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
License key not activated - (in website blank situations or button not available)
If your WordPress Dashboard shows a warning "PHP Update required” Please update your PHP version in your webhost control panel.
Possibly your website is running PHP 8.0, this has been known in some cases to cause issue.
Additionally take a look at https://laytheme.com/troubleshooting.html for known problems.
If the problems persist Cristina:
Please send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?
I will also forward this to Armin ✅
Talk soon and have a wonderful day, thank you for supporting Laytheme Cristina 🌼
Sincerely
Richard
