Urgent: Shortcode (Newsletter Form) doesn't show up on custom Mobile layout
-
Hey @Richard @arminunruh , I have a pretty big issue and it would be great to get an answer/solution soon:
When I activate the custom phone layout my newsletter sign-up form (flodesk) doesn't show up.
It did show up when before I've activated the custom phone layout.
I've now even created a new shortcode specifically for the mobile sign-up (because using the same shortcode more than once on a page doesn't work for desktop either) but it still doesn't show up, even with the code that's only used once.
The code is there in my backend design but when I view the site on my phone there's nothing there.
Not even a space where the form should be.
Please help! Thanks! -
Update: I have found a workaround for now but it's not a good long-term solution.
For now it does seem to work when I delete the original html embed field on the mobile layout (which also deletes it on the desktop layout, without asking, weirdly). Then I put in a shortcode field on my mobile layout first and then secondly add the html field to my desktop layout again. Seems to work now, but not very convenient.

Dear @Bella
Because Flodesk is a third-party developer, compatibility cannot be promised for it's plugins.
(Armin) "I cannot guarantee that all third party plugins will work with Lay Theme."
Apologies for any inconvenience this causes to your design.
Please note Ninja forms is referenced on the Documentation page as an alternative:
Best wishes Bella 🌝
Richard
