    Hi,

    I've tried migrating a website by following all the steps with Filezilla, but after replacing the wp-content folder and changing the permalinks phpadmin files I end up with an empty website. There are no media files but the plugins did transfer and are not activated (maybe this helps explain the issue?)

    The website itself just opens with the page, start by creating a menu for laytheme.

    I'm not sure what went wrong... Any ideas?

      I also tried changing the table prefix to the right prefix but that only resulted in having to go through the wp installation steps again...?

        Dear Remco

        @Remco-van-Dun

        I am unsure why your content is missing, it could be invalidated JSON?

          I figured it out, was my own fault. I didnt connect the database with the right password and it couldnt make the connection. Lesson learned

              To anyone reading and clarify a bit more:
              When you drop all the files from your phpmyadmin and replace them with the new .sql, realise the password you now need to enter is the password you used on your earlier website build and not a password you may have set for the new hosting location.
