PARALLAX ELEMENTS DON’T SHOW — SCROLL UP
-
hello.
i am working with a full screen slider / continuous vertical:
videos in the background + parallax text elements on top of it.when i scroll down: everything perfect.
when i scroll up: parallax text elements don’t show up.any way to command »no-animation« only for scroll up?
or to avoid that problem somehow?thanks for a hint in advance.
all best happy day!

http://www.matanicola.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/MN_INTRO_S_DOWN.movand this is my problem when i scroll up:
http://www.matanicola.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/MN_INTRO_S_UP.mov.movthe text parallax elements in the centre don't show up.
at least not immediately.for now i took away the animation.
… but not 100% happy with thatany ideas how i could solve this?
thanks a lot in advance.
and very best!

@GregorGregor
I see in the documentation the "Scrolling up" does not apply to the elements. In the video you can see the same behaviour when scrolling up. It only applies when moving down the page.
https://laytheme.com/documentation.html#element-transition-on-scroll
Also regarding parallax. The Scroll effect will not work when combined with parallax:
"With “On Scroll Element Transitions” your elements will move in once they are scrolled to. This does not work for elements that use parallax or offsets."
Am i understanding correctly? sorry if not Gregor 🌝
Best wishes & have a wonderful start to 2022

hi richard.
thanks a lot for your reply.
and yes — you understood correctly.
the transition effect does not apply when scrolling up.
(which is OK).
but also it makes the elements not appear at all.
(which is not OK).i was wondering if i can keep the transition effect and still have the elements showing up when scrolling up … ?
basically like in the video “On Scroll Element Transitions” in the documentation.sorry for being complicated.
if you have any ideas — i‘d be glad.all best!

Dear Gregor
@GregorGregor
I created a test page here:
https://rickei3.dreamhosters.com/parallax-and-text-issue/The functionality is working the same as the documentation page.
"but also it makes the elements not appear at all.
(which is not OK)."I see on your video the problem:
http://www.matanicola.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/MN_INTRO_S_UP.mov.movDo the following steps apply to you?
Wordpress, Lay Theme & Laytheme's Addons are all up to date ?
Any custom CSS or JS that may interfere is temporarily removed.
Any third-party plugins are de-activated to see if this resolves the issue.
Also what happen when you turn "Lazy Loading" off ? does this produce a better result? (possible they are there but taking too long to load)
Talk soon & have a wonderful day

hi richard.
thanks a lot!
it kind of helped me to understand the problem.the transition element actually does show up at scroll up.
but extremely delayed.
i probably have to many videos on the pages (22!).i guess the elements only show up at scroll up when all the videos are loaded somehow — that‘s causing the delay.
… i will get rid of the the animation or reduce the amount of videos.
in case you have another idea — i‘d be happy to hear it.
have a good day and thanks again!
