can't change front page

Hey!
The title says is all: I can't change the front page. It always used to be "categories", but I had to restore a backup, and from that point on a random project shows up as the front page (it's always the same project though).
I tried to change it at Customize > Front page, but as you can see in the screenshots: no matter what I chose, it always shows this specific project.

How can I fix this?

Sarah @Sarah hey, I helped someone out the other day with a similar issue, this might work for you but try:
Go to Lay Options and untick the Ajax compatibility setting, save, then tick again, save. This seemed to work.

Thank you, you made my day! It's working just fine for the moment, but if Armin should get in touch, I'm still stuck on the problem below and really would appreciate a solution:

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options ā Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
