I think the problem is caused latest wordpress update...
(I tried the video upload on an different account without updateing wordpress and laytheme – here it worked properly...)But still I need help to fix the problem on my website....
hope you'll find some time to help out! -
Oops I saw this too late. As I said in the other topic you posted in, please write ur wordpress login data to me and im gonna fix it. this will be fixed with the next update but i can install the fix earlier on ur site.
its probably cause ur site is using https:// and theres a bug with lay theme with https:// and embedding videos right now :/

@arminunruh The same thing is happening to me and I really need to link to a vimeo video as uploading only lets 2MB and its necessary for me to do it this way. Can you help me?
-
hey harrie, so yea we already exchanged emails and this was fixed ^^
-
hey ebony, pls send:
-link to this topic
-link to your website
-your wordpress admin panel login data (username, password)
-url of vimeo video that you want to embed -
ok @mariusjopen just to let you know @strk wrote me an email and their vimeo videos work. They embedded their vimeo using the html element with a vimeo embed iframe code. The only thing that doesn't work anymore is autoplay of vimeo videos. So no need to do support here, I wrote this down as a ticket.

Thank you @arminunruh @mariusjopen !
Actually it's autoplay and LOOP what is not working anymoreThanks in advance!

Hello @arminunruh @mariusjopen !
Any updates on this?Cheers,

Can you make the vimeo video muted, does it work then?
There are no updates on this.
I have it written down to work on it one day, but see this was never part of lay theme's video embed functionality in the first place, but it was the embed code you inserted by yourself. One thing that could work is if you insert these videos as autoplaying looping html5 videos instead of as vimeo videos.

- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins

This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:

- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
