Background image or video not working
-
I recently updated to Lay Theme 5.4.8. And whenever I set an image or HTML5 video as the background, it doesn’t load. The image/video loads otherwise and Autoplays when I place it in the Gridder normally.

Essentially, in the Gridder, “Set Row Video Background” and “Set Row Image Background” don’t work now.
Can you help?

@dschnurman @arminunruh Same problem here since updating this morning. A quick fix would be helpful?

Hi, i have a similar Problem: when i «set Row image Background» the Image (was a GIF) doesn't show up anymore - it could well be after updating to new Laytheme version. I tried the PNG format instead - but that doesn't show up on the Site either. The Preview in the Gridder shows up though...

Would appreciate a tip :) -
@Garrod As the front page of my website, I certainly hope @dschnurman or @arminunruh can wave their programming wands to solve this.

Same here: https://importexportperformance.com/
This is very annoying, and a major bug I would say. Please can somebody take care of this.
Normally placed videos play, but all background videos are not showing.

@arminunruh has been very quiet on this. “Set Row Video Background” still doesn't work. It's the front cover of my website. Can you please let us know what's happening?

hey im very sorry this happened and i wasnt fast to fix this!
i did a lay theme course at a university last week.
i will try and do better testing before i release updates, so i wont create too many new bugs!this will be fixed with the new update im releasing today!
you can always get the previous lay theme versions on laykeymanager.com if sth like this happens again
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
