This is a good idea. Thank you for mentioning.
It might be possible with keydown but you need to give it a shot yourself.
To really integrate it as a stable feature ā we need to apply it in one of the upcoming versions of Laytheme.
You might be right that with a very specific function you can get it to work.

sure man just update the carousel addon
since many years it was possible already but just with the "sliding" transition type.
last week i made it work with the fading transition too -

last week i made it work with the fading transition tooI changed the transition type from "no transition" to "slide" and also "fade". Still not possible to use keyboard for navigation. What else do I need to do?

hey can you make sure you use the latest version of the carousel and lay theme?
using keys should work for all types of carousels, fade or slide!2.1.7

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options ā Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
