Hi all. I have discovered a bug or limitation I am trying to work around. Im building a site with multiple projects on it. Each project has its own page, and then I use the thumbnail grid at the bottom, to show 3 similar projects.

When creating a custom thumbnail grid on a page, you can choose a custom order for a specific category. This way you can shuffle the thumbnails around manually and exclude the current project you are on. However the problem is, it saves that custom order for that specific category, so if you want to use the same category on another page, you can’t have a different custom order for it. If you change the custom order on the second page, then it also changes the custom order on the first page.

Is there any way to have different custom orders across the same category of thumbnail grids, on different pages? Or, is there a way to make the thumbnail grid exclude the project that the page is on from appearing in the thumbnail grid?

@arminunruh Ah you mean manually drop 3 individual project thumbnails into 3 columns? That could actually fix it. The only compromise is I can't change the column setting between them like I can with the thumbnail grid

@arminunruh Also, is there any way to chow the category filters on a page without embedding a thumbnail grid? I have manually dropped in individual project thumbnails, but can't find a way to display the category filters above them at the top of the page

i think you can! for elementgrids you can use the masonry layout, top middle or aligned layouts and change the column count, column gutter and row gutter for desktop, tablet and phone! so i think for an elementgrid you have all of the settings that a thumbnailgrid has, except you dont have a filter

no, filters only exist for the thumbnailgrid element

@arminunruh Ok bummer. The category filters are a bit of a deal breaker as they play an important role in allowing the filtering of the projects in the case.
