News posts not loading

Hi!

Stating the obvious: loving the theme and all the updates. I've been using it for a while without even the smallest issue.

I have however now encountered a problem with the news section I've activated on this website: https://wakkerbijgaarden.be/nieuws/

When clicking on one of the posts, it just loads an empty page (eg. on this one: https://wakkerbijgaarden.be/nieuws/nieuwsbrief-lente-2023/). But when refreshing the page, the content appears.

I've tried everything within my knowledge (updating wp, plugins and theme, disabling custom css, etc) without any luck.

Any thoughts what the issue could be?

yea you need to change the permalink /nieuws/ of the news overlay page to something else
it cant be the same as the "news feature slug"
that you set in lay options

Thanks for the quick reply! Just renamed the 'Nieuws' page so it's different from the news feature slug, but unfortunately the same issue persists.

Weirdly when opening the news articles in a new tab, they open properly!

if you update lay theme now, it should also work if you name it back

you probably just renamed your page title but not the permalink, you need to rename the permalink (which is tngrid234 here in the example):

but you can also just update lay theme now and then it should work

yeah I had already changed the permalink as well so that it's different from the slug, but that didn't help unfortunately…

I've also installed your latest update but that also didn't do the trick, any other thoughts what might be happening?

actually i misread your original post, ok now i see the issue

can you update the fullscreen slider addon?
if that doesnt fix it:

can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?

No worries. I just disabled the fullscreen slider plugin since I didn't see a new update + I don't use it on the website anyways and that seems to have worked!
