overlay with custom code
-
Hello Armin, how are you?
Since the last laytheme updates, I can't open an overlay from a custom html code. I had programmed something from a custom accordion with a <a> link (copying the exact code generated by a laytheme link) but it opens the "overlay" page in a new tab... Before the theme update, the overlay even worked from a custom link.
Do you know why?For the record, this is an overlay on a woocommerce product page. The code is customized in the "short description" part of the product.
Thanks a lot!

yes!
so the is, some websites don't work with the lastest version of safari on iOS. i saw some lay theme websites crashing and some cargocollective websites too :D
i found out the issue: it was because there were too many html elements on the website.
thats why i had to code the overlay feature differently, so the overlay markup would only be part of the page if there actually was an overlay link on the page.it doesn't scan for overlay links in custom html, but i will change the code to include the custom html too and then it should work
will release the update later today!

@arminunruh Thanks Armin, it does work from custom html but it doesn't work on a woocommerce product page in which I've integrated custom html code. Do you know why?
-
how did you put in the custom code? like where exactly?
yea i only check for the gridder content and the content of the custom html in lay options → custom html & css
i dont check for custom code inserted somehow in product pages
but i can if you tell me where exactly you inserted your link -
@arminunruh Hi Armin, top!
I've inserted it in the "short product description" and "long product description" on the woocommerce product pages.Does that seem workable to you?
That would be great! -
alright, will be added to the next update

@arminunruh Thank you Armin!
