Carousel absolute center and fixed caption position help
-
Hello,
Thanks for creating Lay Theme, its been a great inspiration for me to get my portfolio updated. I have tried to replicate this sites layout (link below), but I am running into some issues:
- On desktop, the caption doesn't seem to appear when the page loads, I have to resize the window to make it appear. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I have used custom CSS from other threads here.
- I have tried with custom CSS to hide the scroll, while retaining the scroll functionality, but I haven't been able to get it to work.
- When switching from desktop to mobile view (in Laytheme customize feature), the carousel doesn't appear, just the caption and header text. I have to click in the empty space to make it appear. Maybe not such a huge issue, as this isn't how people will engage with the site, but its a little frustrating.
- How can I make the next/previous button activate when the cursor is on the right or left side of the screen and not just when hovering over the image?
I can see in the code that Sammie is using Lay Theme also, so hopefully, it will be easy enough to find the solutions!
Cheers,

i think there could be an issue with position fixed and my code not being compatible
can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?

use this css:
::-webkit-scrollbar { display: none; }

thats not possible
you might want to use the fullscreen slider addon instead of the carousel addon
and then use browser height rows with images in them and caption texts aligned to the bottom of the rowsthen in the fullscreen slider addon settings page, choose fade effect and custom mouse cursors
in case you bought the single license with the carousel addon, we can like "switch" out the addon and i can give you the fullscreen slider addon, just email me about this

he also used the fullscreen slider addon with the aforementioned settings:
