Is it possible to set up a newsletter on a Lay Theme site? If so, how do you go about it?

hey, if you setup Mailchimp you can use that to create and send out newsletters. Also you can embed the sign up form to the Mailchimp mailing list into the laytheme site. I've done it a couple of times, if you need more help just ask.

yea i also used mailchimp a long time ago

but then after i got like 1000 subscribers, i had to pay maiclhimp monthly, even if i didn't send out any emails.

its much cheaper! but its harder to set up

if u use mailchimp you can copy the embed code, then insert it in the gridder:
+more → +html

if that doesnt work so well,
also go to lay options → enable "disable ajax / compatibility mode"

Ok great thanks for your help!

I'm going to go for a free solution, maybe Mail chip at first. Watch some tutorials and see how I can integrate a subscription tab on my laytheme site www.selah.fr .
