center all images in carousel

hi guys,
i am currently reorganising my website and would love to use the carousel.
how is it possible to align every image to center center within one carousel?
all my images do have have different pixel heights, but they should show all in the same size center center.
some of my horizontal pictures seem to only align to the bottom.

@linazangers have you checked in the lay options -> carousel add-on the settings for vertical alignment of slides?
