Installation not working, white screen

Hi, I installed themes according to the guidelines but to no avail. I'm getting a white screen. I have a site through bluehosting. I did the installation with the lay.zip file.

Help is appreciated.

Dear @arminunruh,
unfortunatly my website is not working. it shows a white screen – doesn't matter which page I try to open. Also tried to deactivate all plugins and cannot find the mistake... also the update is not working. Its given me always this error:

if you cant even update wordpress, probably your wordpress installation is corrupted

can you remove your wordpress website and then install it again?

unfortunately it's still not working.... : (
when i try another theme by wordpress its working again.
So i assume there is something wrong with lay-theme.

Don't know what to do as its now neither showing the carrousel plugin....
Could you maybe have a look?

you dont use the version 7.2.0 no? cause that one is broken. make sure to use version 7.2.1 for example
