custom css not working anymore

hey guys,

i recently updated lay theme. now i had to adjust the font-size for my sub-menu a tags and noticed no matter what changes i make in the custom css, it doesnt update it on the website.
i even tried to just put background-color:red!important on the body to be able to simply check it in the dev browser and i doesnt even apply it to the body.
i cleared all cache, refreshed a million times, opened the site in an inkognito browser and nothing works.
i double checked and it automatically (as always) copied my custom css also to the lay theme option in the wordpress dropdown, to make sure it's really there. it is there, but doesnt do anything.
no matter what i do, it wont apply my custom css anymore. the previous custom css (before the update) is still working though.

whats ur website address

you can also create a textformat, then go to customize -> menu style -> submenu

and apply the textformat there
