Combine addons?

Hello!

I was wondering (or maybe I was just not knowing how) if it is possible for example to have one Photo on a page - you click on it and it gets shown like in the Lightbox Addon and then you can while it is zoomed - scroll/click through a gallery of images just like in the Carousel Addon?

so when a lightbox is opened, you can click to go to the next image or previous image

but there is no more zoom once the lightbox is opened

whether you can click to go to the next image, depends on the settings you set in lay options → lightbox addon

Hey Armin,

well its not quite what I am looking for. I just want it the Carousel to have the ability to "hover" like the Lightbox with greyed borders (out of frame) and so far its either each image is a light box and can be navigated through if you have multiple images shown on the page. Yes.

But I want it like here "https://laytheme.com/media/addons/carousel/carousel_notransition_hq.mp4" but.. the can be clicked on and it starts to hover like the LightBox Addon for single Images

do u want this:

u click on one image and then you go through multiple images?
like: clicking on a project thumbnail, then it opens an overlay and inside of it there is a carousel?

So I am sorry for internationals who might occur the same problem..

also ja ich möchte quasi mehrere Portraits von verschiedenen Menschen auf einer Page haben. Aber wenn man zB auf Person 1 clickt ist es wie in der Lightbox Ansicht aber mit Carousel Funktion, dass man die weiteren Portraits aus dem Shooting zeigen kann. Und dann bei Person 2, 3,4 etc. das selbe Spiel.

nachteile:

• overlays sind eigtl nur gedacht für pages wie about page oder kontakt page
• overlays sind pages und nicht projekte. das impliziert sachen wie: kann keine kategorie oder tags haben, pages werden nicht angezeigt in thumbnailgrid element und project-index element, es gibt keine automatisch anlegbare navigation zwischen pages wie hier: https://laytheme.com/documentation/navigation-between-projects.html
• weiterer nachteil: overlays sind momentan so programmiert, dass deren markup schon auf der seite ist wenn du auf die seite kommst. dadurch werden sie schneller angezeigt. das ist kein problem, wenn man 1-2 overlays hat. aber sobald man 10 oder 20 hat, dann gibts probleme beim iphone safari

seit ca einem dreiviertel jahr schmiert safari immer ab, wenn eine webseite zu viel arbeitsspeicher verbraucht. ich glaube die haben sich irgendwann gedacht sie wollen nicht, dass webseiten so viel akku verbrauchen? weiß nicht genau

also meine empfehlung wäre:

• probier mal das overlay feature und füg pro overlay ein carousel ein.
• dann teste das ab und zu auf einem iphone im safari browser um zu schauen, ob die seite abstürzt oder nicht.

ansonsten müsstest du mal warten bis ich das overlay feature auch programmiere für projekte

Hello,
I think I should have seen this earlier :) I have build a website with (apparently) way to many overlays linked to a bunch of images inside a carousel on the desktop version. Now it seems all iPhones crash when visiting the phone version even if the overlays/carousel are only visible (clickable) on the desktop version. I would really love to keep the overlays for the desktop version... is there maybe any way to hide all overlays or maybe the whole carousel for phone so it's not even getting loaded?

create projects and copy over the content you have in your pages over to projects
