      And also, on the same theme: why does now laytheme crop the video?
      https://www.robertadonatini.com/projects/ video on row 3rd is not diplayed properly but automatically cropped.

        Hello @arminunruh I tried to formulate better my request:
        . video actually show up, it was just the website that was a bit slow, still very often on mobile video dont show up, even if they are very light and i followed all the procedure to speed up the website

        . laytheme started cropped all the video to 16:9 while before it was respecting the ration of each one. This happens both in carousel than in stand-alone videos.

        I tried to use

        .type-html5video video{
        height:auto !important;
        } in custom css but nothing changed.

        How can I fix this and go back to respecting the original ratio?

        I also tried to use for single videos
        .id {
        aspect-ratio: 5 / 4;
        }

        but it affects the raw's ration and not the video's one

        Thanks for helping me out on this.

        R

          hey sorry for the wait!

          which one does not respect the aspect ratio, can you share a screenshot here of which one exactly?
          i looked at multiple videos but it seems they were displayed correctly

            you can try to activate lazyloading for videos in lay options →
            Screenshot 2024-11-12 at 15.13.38.png

            maybe the videos in view will load faster then

              Dear Armin, thanks for the answer and no worries for delay.
              The videos are the 3rd line and the one in the 4th
              if you see the content has its own ratio that is not 16:9 and it get cropped to 16:9, while before i changed the video was not like that. Now i'm afraid to touch other carousels that it will cropped them as well.

              Here the original video links
              raw 3rd
              https://www.robertadonatini.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/video_nome_studio.mp4

              raw 4th
              https://www.robertadonatini.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/ck_video_cropped.mp4

              https://www.robertadonatini.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/CK_02.mp4

              any suggestions how to fix it?
              for lazyload, it's already on. thanks

              R

                  I maybe found that the problem is the video compression with handbrake, could it be?

                    yea ure right it uses 16:9.
                    wordpress automatically detects the width and height of a video when you upload it.

                    please go to media library in wp-admin.
                    click on one of those videos. then click on "edit more details"

                    Screenshot 2024-11-16 at 17.42.00.png

                    here you will see the widths and heights that wordpress detected (right bottom):
                    Screenshot 2024-11-16 at 17.44.00.png

                    can you check here if the correct size is set?
                    can you check if you put this exact video into your carousel :D

                    if the wrong width and heights are shown here it means wordpress couldnt recognize the sizes correctly.

                    I maybe found that the problem is the video compression with handbrake, could it be?

                    yes, maybe try to export the video in a different way or something?
