from old theme to laytheme - then content not showing anymore

Hi there,
I habe a wp-website (last theme was "sydney") and i make now a staging website trying out laytheme. but the content is not showing (pages and posts) anymore. (menu and design works, but not the content)
i cleaned the cache (wp and browser) and firewall is also not the problem. also plugins are not the problems (i deactivated all except updraft and wp staging)
all is updated.
what's going wrong? is laytheme only for set up a new website? i thought laytheme is compatible with content (posts, pages) from old wp-websites.THANK YOU

hey lay theme is not compatible with old content from an old website :/

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
