scroll to from menu to a midpoint on my homepage
-
I create an anchor point from my home menu #work. I made it scroll just under my slideshow in my homepage, where all the other projects start.
When I click, the scrolling is jumpy and choppy. Is there any way to address it? I read a few people having similar problems in the forum, but I don't find a solution to resolve it.
Thank you

you mean you want the scrolling to be more smooth
can you update lay theme now and try again?
to version 9.3.0
-
mmh for me it looks much worse now. but only on your website.
when i test it on mine its fine.i will have to revert this new scrolling behaviour i implemented with the next update.
how about you use the cover feature
https://laytheme.com/documentation/covers.htmlin lay options → cover options
it offers a click to scroll down setting
and it includes settings for animation duration and easing.
this could be a much smoother scroll with that -
You're right, it still feels a bit jumpy. Also, I'm now running into another issue: when I click “Work” and scroll to the beginning of one of my projects, then click the site title “Leonardo Design Studio” to return to the homepage, the page doesn't refresh or scroll back to the top — it just stays where it is. And if I click “Work” again, the page scrolls up to the slider but then jumps straight back into the project, which isn’t ideal.

ok when you update to 9.3.1, i reverted to the old scroll way.
can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?i think i would need the login info to try and see why on your website the scroll is so choppy

Hi Armin, I put the two menus back on my site.
Thank you so much

hey i removed the login, please dont post it publicly, only be email :D
-
the problem was your custom code
i commented out the code
please always try these steps before posting:
furthermore, i believe all of your css, that is in here:
it wont work correctly. cause you put this css into "css for desktop" and "css for mobile"
however, that css will already be in media queries, so this will result in invalid css i believeinstead please put all your media query css into
can you check please if the scroll behaves correctly now?
-
i put the media query css into the correct textbox for you now
-
u can also leave this disabled.
then the text animation will work correctly when going to the about page and your page transitions will look smooth -
of course no problem! :))
I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.
