REFRESH ON BACK BUTTON
-
Hi,
First of all thanks for the amazing template, I'm really enjoying designing my new website.
I've managed to add through the 'Custom CSS and HTML' feature a back button to go back to the homepage once I open a project page. I've used the following code: <a class="selectedwork _Default" href="http://www.davidediteodoro.co/" data-type="page" data-id="87" data-title="selected work">x</a>
Now, of course, when I click on the x, what happens is that the entire website refreshes and that's why I'm able to go back where I was. My question is: is there a way to avoid the refresh of the entire website (basically the blue loading bar below the url)?
I couldn't use the features on the Wordpress back end to link it back to the homepage as I did for my About page as I'm using a slider add-on for my project page and button slides away - the only way I could manage to have a fixed element on the page was to add it through the HTML.
Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid the refresh? Thanks a lot for your help and looking forward to hearing from you!
Best,
D. -

Hi @mariusjopen
Here's my website (password: dav) http://www.davidediteodoro.co
As said, I would like to avoid the refresh of the website once you click on the X on the project page.
Moreover, as written on the other thread, video thumbnails don't work properly on safari- so you might want to have a look at that as well.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi @Davide!
WHich browser-version are you using?
On my Safari all works well.
Until now there is not a way to fix the hard reload. We are working on that though.
We keep you updated!
Best!

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
