Cross Origin Access Problem
-
Hi Armin,
i built my Wp site with your theme and it works pretty well - thank you for this great thing!
I don't really know where my problem comes from, but maybe you'll have a hint.
The URL from my Wp-Folder is : www.breitkopf.bplaced.net/wp. I needed to redirected it to the root folder (via the index.php and changes in the WPSite URL settings - so it is : www.breitkopf.bplaced.net.I bought a domain and changed the DNS settings, so the domain : www.motionbrandingmotionbranding.de will point to www.breitkopf.bplaced.net via CNAME.
and here is my problem: Nothing shows up besides the navigation.
It says:
"[Error] Failed to load resource: Request header field X-WP-Nonce is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Headers. (15, line 0)
[Error] XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://breitkopf.bplaced.net/wp-json/posts/15. Request header field X-WP-Nonce is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Headers. "I googled and changed a line in the htaccess to "Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*""
but it didn't help.Do you know a solution for my problem?

Hey!
This site seems to work fine: http://breitkopf.bplaced.net/
If you want to set up everything so that when you go to "www.motionbrandingmotionbranding.de" and it shows the contents of "http://breitkopf.bplaced.net/" but the domain name "www.motionbrandingmotionbranding.de" always stays in the url address bar; Theeen you need to update your database to not have "http://breitkopf.bplaced.net/" entires anymore, but just "www.motionbrandingmotionbranding.de" entries. So basically you need to replace the old url with the new one. The plugin "WP Migrate DB" helps with replacing urls and exporting your database. After that you'd need to replace your old database with that one. Make sure to have a backup!
I just wrote a little tutorial about all that here: http://laytheme.com/how-to-use.html#moving-website
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
