Yoast SEO plugin compatability
-
Hi, I'm trying to use the Yoast SEO plugin with Lay theme, but the plugin doesn't recognise text on my project posts. I've tried adding another plugin which enables Yoast to read advanced custom fields but this hasn't helped.
Is there any solution to getting Yoast to read my text boxes? Any classes that the lay theme grid uses which I could try implementing into one of the plugins code?
Thanks

Hey David, as far as I know atm this is not possible. However, I'm writing it down and might work on it one day.

hey @arminunruh, hey @mariusjopen,
I know this is a really old topic, but I wonder if there are any news about the Yoast SEO plugin compatability?
For know it looks like the Laytheme still does not communicate with the Plugin, but it would
be super great if it would do so... :)best

Dear @mariusjopen
still "Text length: The text contains 0 words. This is far below the recommended minimum of 300 words" -
Dear @dingdong
Ok, thank you for writing. We will have a look also with Armin and hope to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for using LayTheme!

uhm update to the latest version of lay theme
go to "lay options" or "plugins" and read the notification about yoast plugin compatibility
but i think thats unrelatedyoast cannot read the texts inside the gridder, so it might say "contains 0 words"
however, this is just not true, and just because yoast cannot read the texts inside the gridder, doesnt mean google can't. on your website, in the end, the text is just regular HTML so google does read your texts.please don't take yoast seriously here in that regard
it just not compatible with the gridder in this ways -
Hello, I used Yoast SEO (and changed the Reader Settings in WP as advised), however my homepage then came up as 'Page Not Found' in the browser tab. The homepage was visible, but I found that problematic. Do you know if there is a way around that? I tried entering the slug manually, but it wouldn't accept it. If I duplicate the homepage it no longer has that problem, once it's a regular page.

hey i answered you in your new thread
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
