I mistakably changed my site URL and now I can no longer reach its wordpress interface
-
Hello,
I'm building my new website with LAY and am very happy with the template.I made a newbie mistake and would greatly appreciate your help.
As I have an old website that is still online (on Blogger), I started working on the new website on a subdomain, with the intention of changing the URL when I'm done
(in order not to take my old site down until I switch to the new site).
I have now changed the URL on the WordPress settings to the real one and as the current site is still on Blogger I am redirected to the old site (to a nonexisting page).
This is also the case when I try reaching my WordPress interface so I cannot undo it on the interface.
I tried changing the URL on wp-config.php with no success.Any ideas on how I can solve this?
Thanks!!

- UPDATE - I restored a backup of the DB and regained access.
Yet, I still don't know how to migrate my website. While it is not related to the template, any help would be super appreciated...

Oh
so you dont need to move the website from one server to another,
basically you only want to change the sites domain namei would say:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/with this plugin you can replace all occurences of your old url with the new one.
do this. now probably the website doesnt work when you try to access it with the old url.now change the url in your webhost settings. then you should be able to access your site with the new url i think.
make sure to create a backup before doing that!
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
