I upload a 9:16 video to a custom phone layout, but it always appears square. Any way to make them retain their original ratio?

      ah damn,

its a problem with wordpress not recognizing the correct widths and heights of video files sometimes.

can you export the video in some other way and upload it again and try again?
im going to work on some new inputs where you can add the width and height of a video so it will show up correctly.

by the way, can you please go to your media library:

        Screenshot 2025-02-12 at 18.08.18.png

click on one of the videos that doesnt have the correct aspect ratio,
        then click "edit more details":

on the right hand side, does it show the correct width and height in "dimensions"?

alright when you update now, on the page you get to when you click "edit more details" you can now enter the correct width and height on the top right:

          Screenshot 2025-02-12 at 19.31.06.png

then click save there, then re-insert your hml5 video and then it should work.
let me know if that fixed it
