Problem with grids in overlays
-
I am using overlays for projects on my new website that I am currently designing.
When a project page is opened, the overlay itself works, but grid elements such as Element Grid or Thumbnail Grid are not displayed unless you are in the smallest display width (mobile).
Here is the link: https://testscheible.de
There is a thumbnail on the page that displays the text “Test Error with grids in Overlay”. If you click on it, you can see that other page elements such as text or individual images are displayed. But grid elements remain white.
When clicking on other project thumbails, you can see that no images are displayed, although the HTML code seems to be there.
If you reload the browser, which then loads the overlay as a normal page, the grids are displayed. In small display width too.
Switching off all custom elements such as special CSS and Javascript does not help. Switching off all plugins does not help either.
Unfortunately I don't know what to do and would be grateful for help.
Thank you, Wolfram

I have the same problem. Elements are there but not shown.

I took a close look at the problem on my website. It started with the update to 8.1.8. If I go back to 8.1.7, the grids also work with overlay pages. Most likely a bug in 8.1.8. In my case, the problem went unnoticed for some days as it only became visible when I cleared the browser cache. The cache means that it goes unnoticed on pages that have already been accessed. I have now switched back to 8.1.7 and hope for a fix for the current versions.

@reinterpret
older versions of lay theme can always be downloaded from www.laykeymanager.com

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
