Lay Theme Carousel crashing my website

hey!

so basically just update your carousel addon to version 2.7.9.

before i knew what was going on i wrote this text. you can read it, if you cant like access /wp-admin/ anymore to update your carousel:

i released another update for the carousel addon now, that should not produce this error.
if you can access your website and access /wp-admin/

if your carousel addon was automatically disabled because it produced a fatal error, you can just delete it in "plugins" in wp-admin and then install the latest version 2.7.9: https://kernl.us/api/v2/public/temporary-download/6824983f78f0aaa7e12b5523

if the carousel addon is still active, simply update your carousel addon

whatever you do, if the addon is disabled, dont re-enable it again before having updated it :D

if you cant access your website anymore:

access your FTP, go to your site folder, in here, go to /wp-content/plugins/

and rename the folder laytheme-carousel to sth like: _laytheme-carousel
or just any other name.

this will disable the plugin and your site should show up again.

you can also send me your FTP login (server, username, password) to info@laytheme.com and I can do it instead. Your FTP login you can get it from your webhost control panel.

then login to your /wp-admin/
go to plugins, delete the carousel plugin,
and install the latest version of the carousel plugin:

There was a $ sign somewhere in the code where it wasnt supposed to be but it didnt cause an error on my lay theme. Big Sorry about that! ://

Unfortunately I have the same problem. As you described, I have installed the latest version of the Caroussel plugin. Unfortunately without success. What else could the problem be? Many thanks for your help.

Also having issues with project display breaking when lay carousel with version 2.7.8 is active. Same project/page loads fine if carousel addon is disabled. Seems like some recent update broke things.
