Exclude footer from indexing
-
Hello.
Is there a way to exclude only a specific page from indexing by Google? On one of my websites, which doesn't have that many pages, the footer is also listed by Google. If you click on it, you will only see the page title, the menu bar and the footer.

i found this
apparently its possible with the yoast seo plugin.
however, i just added some code to lay theme to exclude the footer pages from indexing. i will release this change with the next update
-
the update for it is already released
but i guess it can take a while for google to register the change

Related to this is also the ability to hide page overlays from indexing. It would be great if this could be added. Overlays often do not included navigation or global elements in them, so if they show up on Google they become dead end pages, as they are meant to be overlaying the main site, which contains the main UI and nav.

yea great idea, will be included in the next update
i already have ref nofollow in the buttons that open the page overlays
I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.
