    hello,
unfortunately the updating service i use created a faulty update package yesterday that broke websites.

with the next lay update, auto updates will become disabled to reduce the damage in case this would happen again.

also everytime an update i released, i now try to install the update on my own server so i can immediately see if a faulty package was created

    how to fix it:
If you can access your /wp-admin/

    go to appearance - themes
scroll down, where u see "broken theme" click delete.
now "add theme" - "upload theme" and use this lay.zip:

if you can't access your /wp-admin/

you will need ftp to access your files.
you can get your FTP info in your webhost control panel,
often webhost control panels also give you a way to browse your files on your server.
otherwise, get your FTP login info, and use a ftp client like https://filezilla-project.org/

Now connect to your FTP and in the folder /wp-content/themes/
rename /lay/ to a different name. then login to /wp-admin/,
    go to appearance - themes
delete the faulty lay theme. and upload the working one with using the link above.

if you have the FTP credentials of a broken site, you can also send them to me:
      info@laytheme.com
and i can do the fix for you.

or you can send your webhost login

Hi @arminunruh I’m experiencing the same problem. My website crashed after the update. The issue is that LayTheme is no longer showing in my themes. Should I add the new version as a new theme and will everything work properly again? Thanks!
