Google Map only loads after resizing Browser
-
Hi,
I've got a problem with a Google Maps Shortcode.
The map I included via shortcode is only loading, by resizing the browser window.
See the following link: http://test1.f1rstdesign.com/wordpress/kontakt
Thanks in advance!

Hi FSchrichten,
I can see this bug not all the time but a couple of times.
Did you already try to remove the Custom CSS and Custom Javascript to see if the problem still remains?
With which plugin do you embed the Google Maps?
All the best!

Hi Marius!
There is no custom CSS or JS within the LayOptions.
I embedded the map via the plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/ank-google-map/ and styled it via the plugin Snazzy Maps.

hi Frederic,
with other plugins it is always difficult to predict what will happen.
By the way. On my browsers /chrome, Safari, Firefox) the Map gets displayed without a problem.
If you still have the problem:
Can you try to embed the map in the custom HTML area are without a shortcode and see if the problem still remains?Let me know how things are going. :-)
All the best!

Hey, @mariusjopen and @FSchrichten,
did you manage to solve the issue? I have the same problem with WP Google Maps Plugin — map shows up only after resizing.
I didn't try to "to embed the map in the custom HTML area" beacuse I don't really know how to do that. I used the shortcode.
Hilfe!

Hi Tomasz,
here the map works.
This is strange.
Best is if you write an email to armin.unruh@gmail.com and include your username, password and a link to this conversation.
All the best!

Hi @mariusjopen ,
I tried adding an OSM (Openstreetmap) and have the same issues as the ones mentioned above - when adding a map with geotags, it only shows up after browser resizing. Was there a final solution? Thanks in advance,

Dear @FSchrichten
do you use shortcodes?Because your Lay Theme website is a "Single Page" JavaScript application, PHP is not possible yet. We are working on a PHP version of Laytheme.
Best!
Marius
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
