      Hi,

I am trying to create click to call links on my site but it doesn't seem to be working at all. Here is my footer where I have the number that needs to be linked. https://www.goldenhourpdx.com/footer

I've tried adding links such as

      callto:15032082185
      tel:15032082185
      tel:+15032082185
      tel:+1-503-208-2185

      Can someone help me?

        Dear Lucien,

I am also not an expert in click to call links – but you will find help and solutions when you search it in Google:

        https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/native-hardware/click-to-call/

        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26088523/click-to-call-html

Let me know when you face problems!

        All the best!

          Hi Marius,

I've tried everything from links in text to manual <a href> html links but it doesn't work, when I click on the number it only opens a new blank tab. Whenever I add tel:55555555 to the text as a link, it changes the format to https://tel:55555555, but the weird thing is it doesnt do that to mailto links, it this a laytheme issue? or because I've my site as https? I'm no idea. Let me know if you know what is wrong, thanks!

            Hi Lucien,
did you ever try it on a non LayTheme page?

I think this is more of a Wordpress issue than from Laytheme.
You might need to look into extra Plugins:
            http://impresswithwp.com/add-clicktocall-wordpress-website/
            http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-clickable-phone-numbers-for-smartphones-in-wordpress/

I can imagine that it depends also on the browser.

Keep me up to date :-)

            All the best!

            Marius

I don't answer or check forum DMs, please just post on the forum.

Try this to fix issues before you post:

Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.

              1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
              2. Disable all Plugins
              3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
              4. Now see if your problem solved itself
              5. Go here, see if your problem is listed here:
              Troubleshooting

              When you post:
              1. Post a link to where the problem is
              2. If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it

              Thanks!
