I cannot embed a PDF file

I cannot embed a pdf. I upload it in the media section, but after that there is no way to embed it on the page.
help me please. -
Hi Mehregan,
you cannot embed PDFs like you would embed an image.
You can embed a jpg which looks like the PDF and then link it to the real PDF. So people who click on it will download the real PDF.

@mariusjopen thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure how to link the image to the PDF? like how do I get the real PDF link?

I mean the URL linked to the PDF doesn't work.

You upload the PDF into your Media library:

Then you click on the PDF and copy the url on the left:

Then you go the the gridder and place an image

Then you right-click on the image and add the url under LINK IMAGE:

Try this to fix issues before you post:
Use the Search Feature. Maybe there is already a solution to your issue.
1. Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
2. Disable all Plugins
3. Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code ", click "Save Changes"
4. Now see if your problem solved itself
